Yosemite

After a short but pleasant night, we did some planning. Us, planning and it even kind of worked! We planned the biggest guidelines for the rest of the vacation. As some pleasant people agreed to show us around/take us in for a couple of days, we needed the rough lines! After making all the necessary arrangements we continued our road, but not after meeting Benny the Beetle. I am not afraid of insects, but this one was a scary mofo. It was about 10 cm long and I litteraly had a hard time getting it off my slipper after trying to shoo it away, he was strong as hell! Finally on the road, heading; Yosemite park. It was a long but lovely drive through the valleys, but the arrival wasn't as good, it was supposably closed due to forest fires! But a stubborn Melvin got us into going as far as we could, turned out to be all the way, thank god for the kid. A magnificent drive through the park, nature gets a bit stale after seen a lot though, but still the place had some beautiful mountains! And wildlife, finally a full grown bear. After hiking a very, very, very steep hill to get to a waterfall, we concluded our visit to the park and went on to Monterey. After a long and tiring drive (included a crashed tomato truck, a big truck, with a lot of tomatos, which delayed us even more) we arrived and went for a checkin. We literally checked 20 motels, no luck what-so-friggin ever. So after some bitching and moaning, we agreed to sleep in the car. Worst idea ever, but it was some sleep still, so I did!
