After a slow wakeup, Jelle a reservation for one and a half hour later, with a 50 minute drive. After a quick wakeup and stop at walmart we did (barrely) made it though; we went fishing! I don't really care for fishing, but lying around on deck in the sun isn't half bad! It was a lot more fun than expected though. A nice captain and relaxed deckhand gave us a quick tutorial of the fishing and we could start. Fishing meant putting corn on the hook, hook in the water and on a certain depth while putting the rod in a socket, keyword; loafing around. I like loafing around, especially while with friends, in the sun. The first bite came quite quick though, but not on our rods (two strangers joined us). But after a while, also our rods started moving and it was not long till three of us had reeled in a fish. Jeffrey, mister fishing himself, and I were the only ones left without a catch. After me also reeling one in, which strangely even was kind of rewarding, Jeffrey really started to get cranky, which made it more fun for the rest of us. But at some point even he got one and this already almost meant the end of our fishing experience. As not much later it started raining and we had to get back. On the way back the deckhand started to gut the fishes, which I ofcourse wanted to try. It was very icky but still quite fun to have done! Three of our fishes we could keep, to let the restaurant at the marina prepare for us. The food was very good and it was a pretty cool experience to catch, gut and eat your own fish, I just need to prepare it myself and then it will be the complete (maybe a bit to spoiled) survivalist! Afterwards we saw a motel 8 just down the road, so to hell with our reservation we'll go there! It turned out to be more luxurious and even cheaper, strange but we weren't complaining! After getting some delicious but simple italian food, walking distance away, we went drinking and playing cards on the balcony and I finally put up my blogthingy!:D
