Morning, 4/5 hours of sleep, I was cold, I was stiff, never again... After everyone, except Jeffrey (he didn't sleep at all), woke up pretty cranky, we went for breakfast. Breakfast at Danny's was nice, but not as nice as the following activity; swimming. This meant a refresher and a hot shower, just perfect! After a miscalculation we rescheduled Hearst Castle to five instead of three and went on our way. A lovely coastal drive, including whales and dolphins for a brief time, were enough for me to stay awake! Then we arrived at the castle, an interesting one. To the people who do not know it, it is a house build by a guy who didn't need the concept of money because of the vastness of his wealth, for example: He bought his art collection per catalog instead of per piece. The house itself was pretty insane, but not even in the same league as the art. It has art from all over the world, litteraly, shipped to his house if he felt like it. He had the biggest zoo of california at some point (this was his backyard) and till today there are still several exotic animals, like zebra's, walking around on the premises. It was just a weird combination of awe, jealousy and complete and utter dumbfoundedness by the concept of this guy's wealth. After the tour and looking around we headed south, after everyone (except the driver ofcourse) drifting in and out of sleep for half the road, LA appeared on the horrizon and 15 minutes later we were at the hotel. It was clean, it was comfy and most importantly, it had beds, which was just what we needed.
