MGM, has to have a decent gym right, right?! Well as I skyped with Elles, Melvin went on a recon mission and found only treadmills, well darn... So I just continued skyping for a while longer, while the rest went on to the pool. After finishing up quite fast, I went down to the lobby to find the rest already going back up (okay maybe I didn't finish as quickly as implied). I went on though, I was already downstairs and I wanted to see the pool! So after a quick check of the (quite big) pool and swim, I went up after the boys! Everyone had a different plan, so everybody executed their own plan... Melvin, Jeffrey, Ian and I went looking for the M&M's store and other interesting places. In the lobby though we first got tackled by a promoter, who got us on the guestlist of Hakkasan for the night, Wet Republic for the next day and gave us the possibility to call him for Hakkasan the next day. We called in every favour of every person in the states, which all was kind of hard because of Tiesto playing and we just happen to run into a promoter in the lobby, we couldn't complain! Okay that wasn't true, because we had to dress fancy! So we all had to buy new shoes, fancy shirts, etc... damnit. I was kind of prepared though, got the pants and shirt, but my shoes were supposably unfit. So shoe shopping we went! After a mile walk and 6 shoe stores, we finally found some shoes we could use and were willing to wear beside Hakkasan! At that point we had to hurry up though, as we were a bit too late for dinner! Sushi, whooooooo! Very good foor, unlimited, for a great price, our type of restaurant! Afterwards we met up with a homegirl of David (thanks dude) so she could tell us the ins and outs of Vegas and come party with us afterwards! We had some fun drinking, but it was shortlived, as everything around Vegas revolves around 10 pm(like what?!-.-_ So we had to get in line! After a very doable line (maybe also because of the vodka) and evidence that the dresscode was not nearly as fancy as we anticipated, we got in. The club was nice, don't get me wrong, but not nearly as cool as we expected. Probably when you have more money you can spend, you have a great time sitting in a booth, even though I don't understand why you wouldn't dance in a club, but for peasants like us it wasn't that special. It was just a decent club in the Netherlands, with about three times to four times more expensive drinks, but very cool DJ's. So yeah, Hakkasan only stood out, for me at least, because of the DJ's, next to that, not that special. We had a great time though, as we also have. After we left the party really started though. In a drunken haze I promised Mark a piggyback ride, which turned out to be illegal. So while we were walking down the lobby we got stopped by a guard, due to very quick thinking we both agreed he hurt his knee, so we had a valid reason to walk like this, but this wasn't the case. The plan quickly backfired when the guy first asked if the bruising was so severe we needed a medic and after we refused the medic he urged us to come with him so he could supply a wheelchair, 'we dun messed up'. After, very carefully ofcourse, he was hurt, putting Mark in the chair, we asked if we needed to return it or leave it for housekeeping, "no I am coming with you and will be pushing the chair!" 'we dun messed up good'. After a questionnaire about our roomnumber and residents, he walked off with Jeffrey's passport for at least 5 minutes, 'we dun messed up massively', he finally okayed everything and walked us to our room. With my best Disney princess lift I got Mark on the couch, thanked the guy, gave him a tip and waved him goodbye. What did we learn today kids?
